Kitty: My 15 year old resident grump and the one that started it all. He's been with me through thick and thin and my love for him defies words. Of all of the many cats that I have shared my home with over the years, Kitty is the only one who had the luxury of being born indoors to a family pet.
Mina: One of the more recent additions to the brood, Mina was adopted through Cause 4 Paws. At 10 months, she is quite tiny - weighing in at just over 3 lbs. She was the runt of her litter, and was born to a very young, very malnourished mother. She is the brat of the house and is continually testing the limits of what she is allowed to do. She is also my constant shadow, and follows me everywhere, including the shower. :P
Gypsy: Gypsy adopted ME while I was still living in Toronto, following me home over 9 blocks and camping out in front of my house until I took her in. She's approx 6-7 now, but was only 2-3 at the time, and pregnant. She was a WONDERFUL mother, and had 6 beautiful, healthy babies that I found homes for. She was my first semi-feral, and watching her progress from barely accepting human touch to *insisting* that I be present when she gave birth was nothing short of amazing. She's also my little ambassador, since she is quite calm and unfazed by any new additions to our home. (The banner pic is of her as well, with one of her little babies.)
Joni: Little Joni was a rather unexpected addition for me, and was only supposed to stay at the home for wayward cats until her vaccination immunity had reached its peak - approx 2 weeks. Well, two weeks was all it took for her to steal my heart. Most importantly, it's obvious while watching them all together that the brood feels the same way.
Like Mina, Joni is a rescue from Cause 4 Paws and is quite tiny for her age due to a rough start in life. She is the cuddlebug of the group, often asking to be picked up and held as I move from room to room. If no one is available for snuggles, she is perfectly content to curl up in her favourite basket and snooze the day away.
